  2. Right, it was Steve.Best@BT.com To clarify, my ISP is Plusnet so this was a BT Openreach problem cos Plusnet couldn't do anything til BT did their job. You could try him though and see if he doesn't refer you to someone else. He got someone else involved to help with my case (simon.brisbourne@bt.com) so you could try them both. Just going back through emails here and this was a saga similar to yours. Zero engagement from BT and no interest in sorting it until I got these two winners involved.

  4. Seemed like that's what the subs were all about. Basically getting an extra centre half in the middle so Schar could help him out and then Howe immediately moved Fraser central I have to admit, I feared the worst when Defoe came on but did he even touch the ball?

  5. Rondon is essentially the Colossus of Rhodes given corporeal form. I thought he was absolutely immense, he bullied every Bournemouth player he was up against, held the ball up immensely well but more than that, he can skip past his man, play his way out of trouble is genuinely more mobile and accomplished a striker than the last few knackers we've had in that role. Had a good game against Watford but today, he was absolutely immense. Fernandez letting his man have a yard before smashing him up a height with a sliding tackle is right from the Argentinian school of defending, Ki uses the ball much more intelligently than Shelvey and comes with a better delivery from set-pieces to boot and Perez had one of his better games, I thought. Less pissing about and seems to enjoy having Kenedy, Ki and Rondon around him a lot more. Some fucking mental subs at the end but fair play to Atsu who has, to be charitable, been absolutely shit so far this season but he was willing to make those runs late on and was unlucky in not sealing it. Exactly the kind of performance needed against a rapid, skilful side. Hopefully this goes someway to restoring SJP to a place that teams dislike going as it was back end of last season.

  6. If that doesn’t work try elc@bt.com. That is the ‘Executive Level Service Team’. They replied to me after I did something similar to Gemmill (although my e-mail was to the then head of customer service). They sorted out the issue out very quickly and also gave me some dosh in compensation. I had exactly the same problem as you did when trying the normal customer service.

  11. In cases like this it’s always worthwhile dropping the ceo a line, including all the relevant details and laying it on thick. While he won’t call you back, he will have a pa who will get the right person to sort it out quickly. I did this years ago with ceo of o2 and got a very quick response. Use a good strap line like “please for God’s sake help me” etc gavin.e.patterson@bt.com

  12. @PaddockLad decent but who does he remind me of? Wild Nothings, no not really. The Stills, yeah there is a bit of them in there. The Radio Dept, there is a lot of their sound in Dead Boys. Nite Fields, it's definitely Nite Fields. No it's Maps or is it M83? Local Natives??? Other interesting things out there at the moment: Cloud Nothings - Last Building Burning is great if you want something fast and noisy. A bit of dream pop care of Hatchie's - Sugar & Spice For anyone that was a fan of the original Saints, Ed Kuepper with The Aints! have released an album of songs that were written for the Saints fourth album, the follow up to Prehistoric Sounds. It's like it's 1979 again (and the clip is footage from then). New Zealand's finest The Chills have a new album and its' great. Last one is for anyone who is a fan of The Drones. A couple of them have gotten together to for Tropical Fuck Storm (they also have a label with the same name).

  14. Aye, this. Lie after lie from Corbyn. He's as guilty of this mess as anyone. In fact, there's an argument he is the most immoral person in politics. At least JRM is relatively honest in his intentions. Someone like Boris Johnson is naked in his ambition. But Corbyn? Completely dishonest and subversive in his aims. Lying about his Brexit beliefs, then damaging Remain from within. Completely ignoring the vast majority of his membership and his MPs to achieve his aims. Could another Labour leader have done better and stopped Brexit? Of course they could have! This is the most shambolic government in living memory, perhaps ever. And yet Corbyn can't even get a lead in the polls. Like the graphic says, his legacy is that he will have actively helped the far right achieve its aims. Pathetic.
