I have as it happens, couple of years ago now. Was late afternoon/early evening so couldn't really judge the atmosphere of the place, but the couple of dishes me and my old man had were perfectly decent if nowt spectacular. You can't go that far wrong with variations on a theme of meat, rice and veg I suppose. I see it's got a few indifferent online reviews from around that time, but one of them waxes lyrical about the "foccacia-type bread" so I have my doubts. No sign of duck pide on the menu, sadly.

TBF we're evolutionarily programmed to seek more and more. Dopamine rewards are fleeting; we very quickly become accustomed to the new normal and need more. Ashley going from a couple billion to a million would probably hurt as much as @ChezGiven or @Park Life going from a couple million to £100k. The reality that anything over £70k pa. (getting off the bottom couple rungs of Maslow's hierarchy) doesn't make us any happier is lost on a lot of people who just aren't educated enough to realise that we can redirect that instinct into more fulfilling areas of our lives (but we'll still strive for constant advancement in those areas). Obviously this is a general statement but we're all somewhere on that spectrum.

Dummett has been one of our better defenders on the few occassions that he has played, sure Kenedy would be better at getting forward but would imagine he'd be suspect defensively. Another wide options that's neither here nor there in terms of improving the squad. It's key to get some players in just to rejuvenate things, so even if only for that purpose they should get something happening. Plus don't want to hear the same rumours next window.

I just don't get the mentality of the super rich, where making money just becomes an end in itself. What's the point? Ashley, a billionaire, can't even derive pleasure from his football club, all he wants it for is to make more money, directly and indirectly. Why?
