  1. Were about as good as anyone else in this division outside the 5/6 usual suspects. I frankly dont know what people think theyre watching when they see Burnley, west brom, southampton, stoke etc etc. Were no better and no worse on a fraction of what theyve spent in the last 5 years. Our work ethic will just about keep us up and thats it. Am complelty in board with it because of Rafa and id say that for me its obvious hes the only thing thats moved the club forward and kept us from the start of the road that the mackems are now 3/4 down. To the whingers id say have some fuckin patience for fucks sakes and stop trying to think we can run before we can walk

  3. I can recommend the Travelodge at the Knutsford services on the M6. Widely regarded as the Gateway to the Lake District, and you can support the local economy by having dinner at the Burger King, the Greggs or both.

  4. I was quite happy after the match last night that most of the others in my local seemed to realise exactly what we are and weren't losing their shit over last nights defeat. It wasn't great but what we're doing has us half way up the league with some very average (at best) players. I'd rather watch this than see a load of gutless but more talented cunts like Sissoko prance about not giving a fuck.

  5. We'd be happy losing every game 4-3.

  6. Dont know what people's expectations are but if you think we should be doing better than we are then they aren't being realistic.

  7. It will be a full meltdown there tomorrow night if they get beat off Bolton and go bottom. Even better if Sammy got the winner.

  9. Funny as fuck how last season they took the piss out of us playing Burton, now Burton are the level they are at.

  10. A draw at home to the bottom team, conceding 3, is almost as bad as a defeat. Grayson might not survive it

  11. How much more evidence do people need that sky are taking the piss out of Newcastle United supporters?

  14. Also worth noting that Ritchie has been closed down completely last couple of games.. getting no where near the freedom he was in Aug/Sept..even having to swap wings with Atsu at times .. we need to create some space for him to shine. Maybe a target man like Mitro will help take some heat off him.

  16. For anyone interested in the lakes I can thoroughly recommend Heaton Park and Jesmond Dene. Loads of amenities within driving distance. True it's not actually in the lakes but pubs/restaurants.

  17. CT would certainly keep the restaurants busy anyway

  20. They all know they have to defend and they all have positional discipline its what has got us up the league a bit. Rafa is working within a very stringent budget and what is essentially still a Championship side....In short he's performing miracles. Moaning at this point is ridiculous - there are different things to watch now, intricate details and patterns within the defensive posture. It's a bit like watching a second tier Italian side desperate to remain in Serie A.

  21. Fairly obvious, but the "Trick and treat!" line pleased me.

  22. Absolutely. Palace probably created more in the first half against us then both teams did in 90 mins last night. And that's a shite Palace away from home. A bit of luck or a bit of quality and, if we'd scored first, we'd probably have won against Burnley. The performance last night wasn't terrible and it wasn't very good against Palace but the result, inevitably, taints the perception of how the team plays.

  23. Bit harsh. They never stopped working all game, kept an excellent defensive shape and restricted Burnley to very few chances, the goal aside. It’s obvious that we are seriously lacking in quality at this level going forward so it’s credit to the manager - and the work ethic of the players - that we’re In 9th with a quarter of the season gone and not in a relegation scrap.
