  1. Past hour
  2. I also think we'll sell Longstaff. He's dropped down the pecking order and would be one to upgrade for squad depth. He's probably played his best football for us so now would be the time to cash in with an eye on PSR.

  5. If we're making predictions*, a much more likely unexpected sale would be Longstaff. He's clearly important for the domestically trained player count for Europe. But other than that, (as others have mentioned heaps) he's not a very effective bench player since his strengths are mostly endurance based and he seems to play better the more consistently he gets to play (which won't be the case next season similarly to the second half of this season). Also, he's pure profit in PSR terms, which means we'd make similar PSR headroom for ourselves from selling him for 20-25m as we would from trying to sell Gordon for 60-80m. And, we would have mostly or even exclusively non-rivals in the market for Longstaff compared to our direct rivals being in for Gordon, which means selling Longstaff "weakens" us less in a relative sense in addition to the reduced real difference in each actual player's ability. We'd also arguably have an easier time selling Longstaff in general since there are more clubs who can afford him. And, arguably the only club that would be in for Gordon that constitutes an upward move would be Liverpool. And they will likely have their money tied up trying to replace TAA and future planning for Salah's imminent departure. In other words, I'd be incredibly surprised if we agreed to sell Gordon and I'd also be surprised if Gordon wanted to leave. But, hey, I'm not a body language expert. * can 100% trust that Dougie made a prediction disguised as a hunch. (We're rolling with it now. Good luck, Dougie. Credibility on the line. )
  6. Thanks. A hunch is slightly less solid than a prediction or Mitch's expanded wasteline. And as for prediction form.....
  7. Today
  8. Sure the morlocks had their own special display just for us last time we played Of all the cockups they have had over the years that will be hard to top!
  9. A lot of the sides left look vulnerable if you attack them, Barca let three in tonight too..
  10. Good half for Villa. Shame about the other 3
  11. The defending was poor to be fair. Three players scared to put a tackle in.
  12. Aye, he always seems to get lucky in the ballot for the big games.
  13. Beating PSG in the champions league is not for everyone it eeems.
  14. Konsa is my new favourite Villa player. Perfect form on that air header. The flick of the head. He did everything right except make contact with the ball.
  15. Tbf Rashford’s assist for Villa’s third was fuckin brilliant… pity he’s a lazy cunt..
  16. Beating PSG 4-1 at home isn’t for everyone
  17. LFair play to em. Prince Bald cunt there too.
  18. Asensio allowed to play against his parent club? Be mad if he scored the goal that puts them out of the CL
  19. I'd say Palace are similar to Boro in the not having a proper rivalry stakes. We don't want them, the mackems aren't arsed and neither are Leeds.
  20. You'd think he'd be a bit more energetic with what will be his last ever CL game if Villa don't complete the comeback.
  21. Donnarumma is the only thing between Villa and the semis at the moment
  22. Emery with the old wanking off two fellas at once celebration.
  23. Extra time and a defeat on penalties would also be delightful.
  24. Fucking hell Villa. Don’t actually go on to win the fucking tie.
