I wouldn’t spend £50 million on him even, I think the team at Brentford is designed to get the best out of him specifically. He wouldn’t get that here, doesn’t pass my eye test. Probably go on to win the ballon d’or now I’ve said it though
-
He's a good player and he always seems to do well against us, and I wouldn't be upset if we signed him for something closer to half that figure. But £100m is about £25m per foot, and that's too much.
-
It feels like clubs are putting a £100m price tag on anyone these days & it’s most certainly a consequence of PSR.
-
Probably going against the grain here but I don’t think Mbeumo is all that, especially for that price
-
That might just be to make him look taller.
-
Also also, Brentford have slapped a £100m price tag on his head. apparently.
-
Probably mostly Quiff anyway

Whenever someone uses the 'reported' joke it reminds me that I have access to the reports log, and that the damn thing really should notify me when a new report is raised. As it is, I go weeks sometimes without looking at it Tend to rely more on the fact that I'm on the more woke end of the spectrum on here, and that if I read everything I'll probably notice anything objectionable myself. I can see we have reports back to 2023 that aren't marked off as complete. I am now sorely tempted to do the admin on that...

I had to explain to my mam this week that she didn't need to worry about her money losing value cos it's with a bank, not in the stock market. But mention Brexit and she thinks she's a fucking world trade expert.
-
But you know that. It's those that won't own up to being duped that get me.
-
It was too simple for people. Put to them as a binary vote. Not like a GE or Local election where they have more than one thing to think about.
-
It ended in an "m" mate.

I do think politicians need to be braver with this than it appears they're going to be. I have faith in the EU to do what is needed here between some manner of response and a longer term re-organisation, but the UK is so small minded on this stuff now (since we have no influence) that we're just going to be chasing shadows of the movements from everyone else. We need to get back into the EU. I'm already sick to death of being an irrelevance. Between that and immigration doubling since, it's just beyond me why anyone ever thought this was a good idea.

I hope Ritchie got to watch the final with a couple of beers and chinned a couple of corner flags, the mad bastard.
-
"What the fuck are you doing? I haven't done anything wrong!!" "Nothing to worry about, sir, just a bit of tactical containment."

In every other strand of the multiverse Steve Bruce is just a bloke with a big kite who never made it as a footballer, who spends his days in the bookies in stained track b's and walks everywhere with a carrier bag in his hand. Goes to the bingo every night with Janice, but doesn't play, and just stares straight ahead of him with his mouth hanging open. We had to live in the one strand where he's a public figure.

ToonPig! Tooooon pig dot coooom.

Not sure how Southampton's probability of relegation is only 99% but never mind ...

Looks like it

This is the crux for me. Negotiate trade deals with the rest of the world - including China. Trump's gambling on the premise that it's absolutely never going to happen and therefore he can fuck China off economically without recourse. The world needs to take the very action his narcissism refuses to see coming.

we're a bootlicking vassal state as things stand with little to no influence over trump. reeves is saying the right things regarding making life easier for UK SMEs trying to trade with our closest and biggest market but words alone are meaningless
