  2. Guti was average in some aspects (shooting/finishing/crossing) but he worked hard and covered an impressive amount of space. He was well above average running with the ball and in particular he was exceptional at winning free kicks in dangerous positions.
  3. Today
  4. Nope. Definitely all about you - and Eddie being soft. 🙂
  5. Yesterday
  6. Reverse Fixtures of our run in; 3-0 win at home to villa 4-0 win away at ipswich 1-0 loss at home to brighton 2-1 loss away at chelsea 1-0 win at home to arsenal 0-0 away at everton Those two losses came before the change in midfield and when we were in that absolutely dreadful to watch run in Sept/Oct. We are absolutely cruising to this CL spot.
  7. “Dad this our mate Dave, can you give him a lift home please?”
  8. Me either. If they lose to us and then City, it's over for them. Which on some level I'll appreciate because it means Emery won't have outdone Howe.
  9. Totally agree, and City fans I know have been saying it’s who they want to replace KdB. No chance.
  10. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DsLxYQeSZ/?mibextid=wwXIfr I always had this down as a bit of a publicity stunt / Shepherd trying to curry favour after sacking Robson / Everton trying to elevate their price. Sounds like Rooney was up for coming here in ‘04 and big Dunc talked him out of it!
  11. Think we are seeing it already, second half of the season salah has only been pretty good, not the worldie he was first half of the season.
  12. They had some decent satellites back then tbf.
  13. With the combination of physicality and technique he's been showing he's the leagues next De Bruyne for me.
  14. Andrew

    Eddie Howe

I'd imagine Eddie is in some level of private care and they may have gone for keeping him in in order to get him right that much quicker. Otherwise you're leaving the self-confessed football obsessive, 12+ hour day working middle aged man to not say "ah yeah I'm alright" and get back to work.
  15. Dougle

    Eddie Howe

I had pneumonia a few years ago, no admittance either, just strong medication, large amounts of rest and quite frankly minimal monitoring from the Docs. Took bloody ages to become ‘normal’ again. Apart from most physical things (breathing, walking etc) I was ok, i.e. I could communicate and what have you. We are all different though and something like pneumonia has a spectrum like any illness. (edit) just to be 100% clear I am not in any way attempting to diminish how serious Eddie’s condition is. Hopefully I made that clear before this edit.
  16. Must be really bad, my daughter didn’t even get admitted but was still in a very bad way for a few weeks til it started to go. Either that or given his status they rolled out the red carpet! Also the possibility that even if he did have it worse, they have drip fed him antibiotics and it may clear up quicker. From my experience, the fitter and healthier people are, they ignore the symptoms more before seeking help, giving it time to really take hold. Hopefully he want rush back and it’s credit to him that the ship can continue on a straight course without his presence. Just hope the media and twitter fans don’t go overboard calling for his return if we come unstuck tomorrow. Btw, gotta love 3 match weeks when we’re winning.
  17. Mine did that once with a frog. Only it was both legs, and the frog was still alive and trying to hop away. 😢
  18. I don’t think many teams can drop £100m anymore. He’d probably fit in well with Madrid. Man City could do with him as well.
  19. Aye a couple of weeks of bedrest follows probably, he should rest till after the Ipswich game at least, Tindall should be able to handle that. Time to cook up some ideas for the title charge next season Eddie
  20. Gemmill

    Eddie Howe

CT's daughter took 4 weeks. No way Eddie is softer than the product of CT's loins.
  21. Eddie's been discharged evidently which is good news, but he must have had it bad to be kept in for a week 😔 Be surprised if we see him back before end of the season.
  22. It’s just a shame it wasn’t sponsored by Disney this year. That would’ve been lovely.
  23. They like to throw around the word 'tinpot' quite a bit going back through the years. I'd love to hear their description for going behind 4-2 against ten men before clawing it back at the death in a poor Europa league and calling it one of the greatest comebacks in European history.
  24. I didn't realise Villa have got us tomorrow and then Man City away on Tuesday. That's some run of games and great that those two are stealing points off one another.
